I just saw this great post on Yahoo! Health about the Surprising Healing Benefits of Spices. I had no idea that cloves were an antihistamine, that cilantro helps can help ease seasonal allergies, or that turmeric eases joint swelling and pain.
It’s an great argument for regularly cooking with an international eye, or stomach as the case may be. I have to remember to try the cayenne hot chocolate next time I have a sore throat.
